Daniel Bayliss

These tracks are taken from Daniel Bayliss`s stunning debut CD “The First Step”.  Daniel is a 17 year old sixth form student at County Upper Bury St Edmunds.  He plays with The County Upper Swing Band, The West Suffolk Youth Jazz Orchestra and The National Youth Jazz Orchestra.  He regularly sits in at “The Bird in Hand” at Beck Row amazing audiences, and musicians, with his maturity of tone and technique.

These tracks are taken from Dan Seargeant`s debut CD “Skylark”, recorded earlier this year when he was 14 years old.  Dan is a student at Linton Village College.  He plays with Linton Jazz and The National Youth Jazz Orchestra.  Amongst his many achievements, at the tender age of 14, he obtained the remarkable result of 100% at his Trinity Guildhall Jazz Sax Grade 8 exam.  He is studying Jazz on Saturdays at The Royal Academy.

George Grant

George Grant is a former student at Soham Village College and Long Road Sixth Form College.  This was recorded when he was 18 years old. George was the first of many of my students to perform regularly at “The Chequers” and “The Bird in Hand” amazing audiences with his bebop technique.  He has sat in with many of the top jazz musicians and has been taken under the mentorship of bebop master Gilad Altzman.  He is currently studying jazz at the Leeds conservatory.  I rated Georges playing so highly he played at my wedding!!

Ross is a 17 year old sixth form student (studying music) at The West Suffolk College.  He plays with The West Suffolk Youth Jazz Orchestra and The Pink Floyd tribute act “Pure Floyd”.  He has regularly sat in at The Bird in Hand.
